报告人简介：

张亚辉，加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学工艺工程系副教授。1996年获得古天乐代言太阳集团矿物加工工程专业博士学位，2005年获加拿大阿尔伯塔大学材料工程专业博士学位。2006-2016年任东北大学选矿及湿法冶金教授，2016年任纽芬兰纪念大学副教授。承担科研项目20余项，发表论文120余篇，申请专利15项，获授权专利8项。他在矿物加工和提取冶金方面拥有20多年的研究经验，研究领域包括稀土、贵金属和其它有色金属的提取冶金、可持续材料/金属生产、二氧化碳捕获和转化、工业废水处理新工艺设计和用于矿物浮选和金属提取的新药剂/树脂研究等。

Reporter Introduction:

Dr. Yahui Zhang is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Process Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN).

He earned his first Ph.D. degree in Mineral Processing from Central South University in 1996 and second Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering from University of Alberta, Canada, in 2005.

His research interests lie in the areas of sustainable metal production (including recovering metals from new and secondary resources, e.g., ocean mining and urban mining), extractive metallurgy of rare earth elements (REE), precious and nonferrous metals, designing and finding of new reagents/resins for mineral flotation and metal extraction, CO2 capture and conversion, and novel processes for wastewater treatment. He has published more than 120 papers in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and filed 15 patent applications, of which eight have been granted.
